Author visit

We have been fortunate enough to have Jacqui Gray, author of My Magical Garden in to talk to Year 3. What a lovely experience!

History Week (Victorians)

To end the week we had a Victorian tea party, which was a lovely excuse for us to eat the fine foods we had made and play some good old fashioned parlour games like hunt the thimble and keeper of the keys.
Anna, the duchess of Bedford (1788-1861), one of Queen Victoria’s ladies-in-waiting, is credited as the creator of tea time. We thought this would be a good way to honour this  quintessential English tradition during our Victorian week.
